The small quaint town of AuTrain is a resort community. Lake Superior's AuTrain Beach is clean, sandy and within walking distance. Local groceries, canoe liveries, family owned restaurants are all within a short distance. Just a short drive east along Lake Superior is the town of Munising, home to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, and Hiawatha National Forest. Here you'll find an extensive trail system for hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Alger county, known for being an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, is the perfect year-round destination.
